Watch Terms Dictionary

Dual Time (function) is a complex mechanics of watches (two dials in one watch), designed to determine local time and time anywhere in the world.

PVD (case / bracelet) is a special method of covering the watch case (gold ions are impregnated in vacuum (bombardment); as a result, a gold layer with a thickness of up to three microns is deposited, which is highly resistant to watch operation, i.e. very resistant to wear, itself forms one whole with the case. This coating is in both gold and black.

Water resistant watch. Measured in meters of immersion and pressure atmospheres (laboratory conditions):

500 m – 50 atm. Long hours of diving at different depths are allowed, as a rule, watches equipped with this function have a gel valve
300 m – 30 atm. Suppose full contact watches with water, with full short immersion
200 m – 20 atm. Suppose full contact watches with water with short and shallow dives
100 m – 10 atm. Suppose full contact watches with water, without immersion
50 m – 5 atm. Superficial contact of watches with water
30 m – 3 atm. Only light contact with water is allowed.
Steel 316L – does not contain nickel (Ni, lat. Niccolum). Maximum biocompatible with the human body and does not cause an allergic reaction.

Super-luminova – composition, which is superimposed on the body of the hands and digital marks of the watches, to ensure the determination of the time at night.

Trigalight, GTLS – illumination on the principle of radio luminescence caused by the decay of tritium.
